Looking for nerdy things to do in Brighton? We’ve got you covered. Here are 8 places to visit in Brighton to satisfy the geek inside you. Whether comics, video games, role playing, or film is your passion, there’s something in Brighton for geeks of all persuasions and all ages.
Dave’s Comics
Brighton’s oldest (and only remaining comic book shop) is in Sydney Street in the North Laine. Dave’s offers a great selection of comics, graphic novels, and manga. For those in need of even more comics, its sister shop Dave’s Books is located a few doors down and specialises in second hand comics as well as boardgames, toys, and collectibles.
Snooper’s Paradise

7-8 Kensington Gardens, Brighton BN1 4AL
While it doesn’t advertise itself as being for geeks, the indoor market at Snooper’s Paradise has plenty of pop culture treasures hiding there. Different vendors rent space inside of Snooper’s Paradise, so you can never be quite sure what you’re going to find there – which is half the fun! Between the endless displays of faux-fur coats and 70s ornaments, visitors to Snooper’s Paradise will find treasure troves of vintage action figures, retro games consoles, and comic books.
Halfway between a museum and a charity shop, it’s rare to visit Snooper’s without picking up at least one oddity.
Dice Saloon

Dice Saloon is a dedicated venue for tabletop board gaming. As well as having a wide selection of TTRPGs for sale, they also hire out table by the hour for groups looking for somewhere to play. You can bring your own games, buy them there, or borrow something from their comprehensive library. With booths available to rent from as little as £6 for 4 hours, it’s a fantastic place to play boardgames in Brighton.

Unit 7, Nile Pavilions, Nile St, Brighton BN1 1HW
No British town would be complete without a Games Workshop store. Brighton’s official Games Workshop retailer (sometimes also referred to as Warhammer Brighton) can be found in Nile Street, a couple of minutes from Brighton seafront. They stock Warhammer 40k miniatures, as well as other Games Workshop properties. At weekends, it’s common to see the main gaming table crowded by patrons taking part in a large group battle.

90 Trafalgar St, Brighton BN1 4ER
A lesser-known entry in the pantheon of geeky venues in Brighton, but an excellent one nonetheless, is TIMESLIP. It is located on Trafalgar Street, a couple of minutes’ walk down from Brighton train station.
Named after the cult 1970s science-fiction show TIMESLIP is essential stop for anyone still interested in physical media of their favourite TV and films. DVDs, box sets, posters and t-shirts make up the bulk of its inventory and any fan of vintage science fiction from the 20th century is bound to find something to appeal to their interests, especially if their interests include rare Japanese posters for ALIENS, or out of print DVD boxsets of classics like The Tomorrow People.
Arcade Pub (upstairs at The World’s End)
60-61 London Rd, Brighton BN1 4JE
A few years ago, The World’s End pub was refurbished and went from being one of the most run-down drinking establishments in Brighton, to one of its most hip and modern ones. Of particular interest to anyone of the geek persuasion is the “Arcade Pub” upstairs at The World’s End.
Combining the virtual and the analogue, the Arcade Pub features a remote-control racecourse which covers most of the upstairs floor space. Punters can control the cars using full size steering wheels attached to gaming chairs surrounding the racetrack. Watching a group of 10 people drunkenly try to steer toy cars around is just as fun as it sounds. There are also several arcade machines and board games to try out and space-invaders-themed cocktails to order.
